Frequency Response
Frequency response is a performance attribute of a speaker that measures how well it responds to sound across a range of frequencies. On a graph, frequency response is measured in hertz on the x-axis with sound pressure level (SPL) rated in decibels along the y-axis. The frequency response shows how well a speaker or subwoofer performs across the frequency range at various volume levels. The best home audio speakers and subwoofers have an accurate frequency response that results in a neutral sound with no coloration or altering of the source signal so you hear the purest acoustic version what a musician or director intended you to hear.
